WELCOME TO FIRST HULL We continue to celebrate the Easter season by gathering to worship the risen Lord. Welcome! A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.
WE WELCOME John Kooiker, a representative of the Gideons. He will give us a brief report on the work of the Gideons in the morning service.
THIS EVENING Pastor Loren’s message is from 2 Peter 1:12-21 titled “God’s Written Word”.
CHURCH SERVICES: We have started Live Streaming our church services. Stream will start about 5 minutes before the service, so the viewer may have to refresh the page to see if the live stream has started. You can access this from our church website on the Home Page under “Live Stream Page”.
LADIES who would like to help out at JFA on Tues., April 10, may meet in the parking lot at 12:45p to car pool.
THE CHOIR is hoping to sing one more time this year and would like ANYONE who would like to join to feel welcome and come to the April 15 practice. No singing skills needed.
NEXT SUNDAY Kip Dwayne Leusink, infant son of Rick & Koni, will receive the sacrament of baptism.

REMINDER: donation box in the narthex for the Guatemala mission project. A list of needed items is on the back table. Thanks for your help in blessing the “least of these”.
COME JOIN US on Tues., April 10, from 5-7:30p for IMPACT NIGHT at the Hull Pizza Ranch. Proceeds will go towards the Hull 1st CRC Guatemala Mission Project. Funds will go directly towards house building materials, food bags, Spanish Bibles, and wheelchair sponsorship. Pizza Ranch will donate 10% of the sales for eat in, take out, and delivery. So, please join us and pass the word to friends and family.
HULL CHRISTIAN PARENT’S CIRCLE is hosting a craft & vendor fair Saturday, April 14, from 9:00-2:00p at the Community Building. There will be a huge bake sale, book fair benefiting the School Library and a wide variety of vendors – several of which have not been to Hull events in the past.
THE SHARE GROUP for widows & widowers will meet Thursday, April 19, at 6:00p at Homestead Commons. Melissa Beyer will cater. Please bring $10 to pay for your meal. Following supper we will play table games and enjoy a time of fellowship. RSVP to Deanna (439-2229) by Monday, April 16th.

WALL OF NEEDS: Check out the bulletin board next to the church mailboxes to see how you can donate supplies to VBS this year. Simply grab a slip of paper and return the listed donation to church. They can be placed in the basket at the back of church.
VBS VOLUNTEERS needed to help VBS run smoothly. Those interested in helping (junior high age & older) are asked to sign up on the sheet in back of church. (Please note that although VBS is starting on a Sunday this year, you do not have to miss evening church to attend. Students and helpers are welcome to start their VBS experience on Monday as well). This year we are going to serve a small meal beginning at 5:00p. We’re asking for about 4-5 ladies to help out. Please note that on the sign up sheet if you are willing to help serve the meal. FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
- Congratulations to Matthew & Brandelyn (Van Zee) Westra who were united in marriage on Sat., May 7 in Rock Valley. May God bless them with many happy healthy years together.
- Give thanks that Joyce Vande Griend has returned home and is doing well after being hospitalized with an infection and fever.
- Becky Heynen had knee surgery to repair the cartilage in her knee. Give thanks that the surgery went well.
- Walt den Hoed is scheduled for surgery at the Sioux Center Hospital on Monday, April 9, to repair a massive rotator cuff tear. Pray that surgery would go well and for a good recovery.
- Give thanks that Shari De Wild and Lois Salazar are both making good progress after knee replacement surgery. Pray for complete healing.
- Heath Stoker continues with chemo treatments for the Multiple Myeloma. Pray for healing.
- Shar Bonestroo’s mom, Betty den Hoed continues to receive treatment. Pray for strength and healing.
- Give thanks Sara Grevengoed’s dad, Jim Bynes, is making good progress. Sara plans to fly to Phoenix Sunday evening and return with her parents to Hull on Tuesday. Pray that the return trip would go well and for continued healing.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
- Linzie Bosma had knee surgery this past Thursday. We pray for continued recovery and healing.
- We continue to pray for strength and healing for Jemma Jean De Jong, daughter of Sarah and Todd De Jong, and grand-daughter of Diana and Dave Kooima. Jemma will be preparing for another important surgery later this spring.
- We keep Cruise De Groot in prayer, as he spends time between home and Nebraska, where he trains and prepares for his deployment with the US Army.
- We pray for many others who continue to recover from recent surgeries, illnesses, or treatments. We pray for peace, patience, and endurance.
- We remember our members who reside in care facilities: Marv Boon at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, and Evelyn Dykstra in Byron Center Manor in Byron Center, MI. We also pray for their families as they support them.
SIOUXLAND HABITAT for Humanity is accepting partner family applications for our home ownership program for a future home in Hull. A meeting will be held April 10 at the Hull Library from 5:30-6:30p to provide information and answer questions. Application forms are available at the Hull City Office, Hull Library and online at http://siouxlandhabitat.org/our-programs/home-ownership/. Forms due by April 20.
NW IA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA will present its annual Spring Concert, A Mighty Fortress, on Tuesday, April 10, at 7:30 in the Dordt Auditorium. Guest artist is Dr. Richard Steinbach. DORDT High School Choral Festival will take place on Friday, April 13, at 7:00p. Four Dordt choirs and 14 high school choirs are participating. The concert will end with a mass choir consisting of more than 600 singers.
THE NW IA Symphony Youth Orchestra, led by conductor Dr. Christopher Stanichar, will present its Spring Concert on Sat., April 14, at 3:00p in Dordt’s Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
HOPE HAVEN Christian Women’s Auxiliary will hold its Annual Spring Meeting with a luncheon in the Hope Haven Gym beginning at 11:30a on Tues., April 17. The program will feature Cindy Wiemold from Faith, Hope, and Charity. There will be a business meeting and silent auction. Bring a friend!
