WELCOME TO FIRST HULL “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna!” Welcome to worship as we celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, even as this path leads to the cross. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
Daryl Van Wyhe’s heart reverted to an irregular rhythm on Tuesday night. He will meet with doctors on Monday to determine a next step. Pray for better health.
Congratulations to Matt & Kait Schultze on the birth of a son, Owen John, born on Wednesday at the Sioux Center Hospital.
Give thanks that Pete Pollema continues to recover from the pneumonia. Pray for complete healing.
Eldon De Wild is still waiting to hear from the doctors concerning a transplant. Pray for continued patience and encouragement for Eldon and LuAnn.
The YPS group will be leaving on their serve trip April 11th to the 16th. Please keep them in your prayers.
We extend our Christian sympathy to Rick & Eleanor Kiers and family in the passing of Gert Zevenbergen on Thursday, April 6th. May God comfort them in their loss.

We pray for continued healing for Diana Dykstra and Dan Bosma as they recover from recent surgeries.
We remember our members who reside in care facilities: Mary Grooters at Pleasant Acres, Marv Boon at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, and Evelyn Dykstra in Byron Center Manor in Byron Center, MI. We also pray for their families as they support them.
HCS Spring Carnival: Everyone is invited to the HCS Carnival on Saturday, April 22, from 11a-2:00p. This event is free of charge! There will be inflatable’s and games for the kids to enjoy. Pizza, pop, and candy will be available for sale. We hope you can come for this time of fun and fellowship with our HCS family!
Attention Cupcake Makers: Each year a favorite part of the HCS Spring Carnival for the kids is the cupcake walk where they play a game with the prize of cupcakes to take home! If anyone is interested in making/decorating cupcakes, please drop them off at school Friday, April 21 or the morning of Saturday, April 22. Thank you for your help!!
CHRIST IN THE PASSOVER: Tuesday, April 11, at 7:30p the Jews for Jesus organization will be presenting “Christ in the Passover” at the Ocheyedan CRC, 833 5th St. This presentation by missionary Eli Birnbaum from Tel Aviv, Israel will give you insights on how the pieces of God’s plan of salvation fit together and you’ll remember this visual display of the Passover pageantry for years to come. Join us for “Christ in the Passover” from Egypt to Calvary to learn what it means for us today. There is no admission charge for this presentation. A free-will offering will be received. A time of fellowship for questions and answers and refreshments will follow.

THE NORTHWEST IOWA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA will present its annual Spring Concert Rocky! An All-Rachmaninoff Program on Tuesday, April 11, at 7:00p at Dordt. Guest artists for the evening include University of Northern Iowa professor Sean Botkin on piano and founding conductor of NISO, Henry Duitman.
HOPE HAVEN BENEFIT CONCERT on Saturday, April 15, at 6:30p in Dordt’s Auditorium. The Dixie Melody Boys from Kinston, NC, Master’s Voice Quartet from Sioux Falls and the Triumphant Sound Quartet from Lawton will perform. Tickets are $15 per person and sold at the door only. Doors open at 5:00p.
HOPE HAVEN Christian Women’s Auxiliary will be celebrating 40 years at its Annual Spring Meeting with a catered luncheon in the Hope Haven gym beginning at 11:30a on Tuesday, April 18. The program will feature L’attitude from Sioux Falls. There will also be a Business Meeting and Silent Auction. Please take a friend and be a part of this ministry of service to others.

JOIN the Sioux County Oratorio Chorus for an exciting concert on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30p in the Dordt Auditorium. SCOC will come together with the Dordt College Concert Choir, the Northwestern College Heritage Singers, soloists, orchestra and organ. Led by Dr. Benjamin Kornelis, professor of music at Dordt, the chorus will present Haydn’s Missa brevis Sancti Joannia de Deo, also known as the “Little Organ Mass” – an unfailingly joyful setting of the Roman Catholic Mass. SCOC will also be singing the Midwestern premiere of Songs of Ascent by Iowa native Shawn Kirchner. The ambitious and powerful work features texts sung by pilgrims journeying to Jerusalem. Tickets are $8 in advance/$10 at the door and can be purchased at Northwestern Music office, Windmill Park Jewelers, True Vine, Dordt music office or Touch of Hope.
