WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Welcome to worship as we gather to “thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind” (Ps. 107:8, NRSV). A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

THE BOYDEN/HULL SACK PACK BOARD is looking for a few more team members. The Sack Pack program provides sacks of food for kids at Boyden-Hull and Hull Christian to take home every weekend throughout the school year. The team members help line up groups to pack the sacks and meet about once a year to go over the program. The new members should be available to help out with groups who would like to pack during the daytime hours during the school year. If you are interested in being a part of the Sack Pack team or would like more information, contact one of the Sack Pack board members. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE: With everyone’s commitment we made our goal of raising $375,000 for Christian Education this past year! There are a few changes to the program moving forward and we have set a new goal for the upcoming school year. Look for the information sheet in your mailbox as well as Faith Promise pledge forms for the 2019-2020 school year.

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
Congratulations to Travis & Brittany Veldman on the birth of a son, Rhys Gale, on Sunday, July 28th.
Congratulations to Curt and Emily (Kamp)Van Grouw who were united in marriage on Saturday, July 27. May God bless them with many happy healthy years together.
We extend our Christian sympathy to Pete & Helen Soodsma, Bob and Sharon Soodsma, George and Nancy Heynen and all who mourn the passing of Pete and Helen’s grandson, who died last Sunday as a result of injuries from a four-wheeler accident the day before. May God grant comfort in their sorrow.
Pete Pollema’s procedure on Tuesday appears to have gone well. Pray for strength and healing.
Jarvis De Wild finished with cancer treatments this past week. He is scheduled for a CT scan on August 22 to decide the next step. Pray for healing.
Continue to remember Gary Roetman in your prayers. Pray that he will get stronger.
Give thanks that Russ Vander Schaaf continues to make progress since the tube removal procedure. Pray that Russ continues to gain strength.
Give thanks that Sharon Soodsma is healing well from the surgery. Pray for wisdom for the doctors as they consider the best option for follow-up treatment, chemo or radiation, or if no further treatment is needed.
Julianne Kats continues as a resident at Pleasant Acres. Pray for healing as she recovers from a compression fracture in her vertebrae.
Jim Keizer is scheduled for knee replacement surgery on Tuesday at the VA hospital in Sioux Falls. Pray that the surgery goes well and for a good recovery.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
Lora Vis continues her recover at home. Please pray that the grafts used to treat her burns heal and progress. We pray for patience and peace.
Gerrit Van Der Zwaag, father of Cal Van Der Zwaag, continues his recovery at the Sioux Center Hospital. We pray for daily healing and progress. We also pray for encouragement and patience. We pray for Cal and family as they support him.
We pray for those dealing with illness, healing from injuries or illness, and for those who may be struggling emotionally. May God provide healing and wholeness.
We praise God with the Bonestroo and Larson families in the wedding of Nathaniel and Mariah (Bonestroo) Larson this past Friday. May the Lord bless them as they begin their lives together.

We remember Marv Boon at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City. We pray for Eileen as well as she supports him. We also remember those who reside at home but aren’t able to join us from week to week. We also pray for their families as they support them.

THE NAMI SUPPORT GROUP will meet in the Fireside Room of Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center from 7-9p on Tuesday, August 6. YOU ARE INVITED to a monthly community prayer meeting with a global focus on Wednesday, August 7, from 7:30-8:30p at Faith CRC in Sioux Center. We will meet in the youth room on the lower level. The global focus will be Southeast Asia and Buddhism. Future gatherings will be on the 1st Wednesday of each month and will be hosted and led by members of various local churches. There is a different global and local focus at each meeting. Come and check it out!

SIOUX CENTER MOPS: Are you an expectant mother or the mother of a child/children up to 5 years of age? Then Mother Of PreSchoolers is looking for you! Come join the Sioux Center MOPS group where you’ll find spiritual encouragement, friendship, brunch, and lots of coffee as well as childcare. We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 9-11a September-May. Registration is August 6 from 4-7p at Central Park in Sioux Center. SHARE GROUP for widows and widowers will gather Thursday, August 15, at 9am at the Homestead Commons in Hull.
