WELCOME TO FIRST HULL In the name of Jesus – teacher, friend, healer, Lord, Messiah, Savior –We welcome you to worship. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TVs are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.
THIS MORNING Carver and Maddox Kooima, sons of Travis and Megan, will receive the sacrament of baptism. We give thanks for many answered prayers in their lives and that we can celebrate this special day.

KIDS’ CLUB is ready to kick off a new year and we need your help! We are looking for some food donations so we can feed the children a snack when they arrive at Kids’ Club. There are donation slips located in the back of church. If you are willing to help us, please take a donation slip and then return the purchased item(s) to the Kids’ Club basket in the back of church by Sunday, September 4th. SERVICE OPPORTUNITY Taylyn Vander Schaaf is scheduled for surgery in Madison, Wisconsin, Aug 19. We would like to encourage people to make freezer meals to help the family during the coming weeks. Meals can be put in the freezer in the church kitchen. Please label them with the Vander Schaaf name and cooking instruction. FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
Joyce Vander Well continues as a patient in critical care at Avera in Sioux Falls. Pray for improved strength and clarity.
Pray for Belle Draayer as she was admitted to the Sheldon Hospital on Thursday for tests and observation.
Continue to pray for Taylyn Vander Schaaf that she will be healthy for surgery on Friday, Aug 19.
Carver Kooima is scheduled for a procedure on Friday, Aug 12. Pray that it goes well. Pray that Carver and Maddox will continue to grow and develop.
Pray for Russ Vander Schaaf as he continues with cancer treatments. Pray for strength, energy, healing and relief from pain.
Pray for Rick Van Hill as he continues to receive treatments. Pray that the treatments will be effective and that there will be minimal side effects. Pray for strength, energy, encouragement, and healing.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
We express our sympathy to the Hoekema family in the passing of their brother-in-law, Fred Ruble from Lynden, Washington.
Loren Van Otterloo has one remaining treatment in the beginning of August. He has once again been blessed with minimal side effects. Pray that the treatment is effective to create the opportunity to have surgery to remove the tumor.
Please be in prayer for Jackie Covey and her family. We are thankful that she was able to complete her treatment plan this week. We pray for her and their team as they examine the next plans for her care.
We pray for those who are recovering from surgeries. We give thanks for those who have received good news and healing. We mourn with and plead for those who are dealing with difficult news.
We pray for our marriages, that God would encourage us as Husbands and Wives to love each other as Christ has loved His church.
We pray for those who are going through struggles, heart break, betrayal, confusion, and battling addiction.
We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope and feel included as part of our church family.
Pray for those in our community who are sick, dealing with pain, or those who have ongoing prayer concerns that they will return to good health and recover quickly.

HCS welcomes Kristi Ten Pas back to Hull Christian School. Mrs. Ten Pas worked at HCS from 2012 -2020 in various roles. Mrs. Ten Pas will be working as a part time first grade teacher along with Mrs. Van Der Zwaag. HCS is grateful that we have filled all our employee openings for the 22-23 school year.
HABITAT SPONSOR A STUD! – Gather your friends, family, church group or business to sponsor one or more 2x4 studs for $100 each to help build the first Habitat House in Hospers! We will deliver the stud to you, so you can decorate it with Bible verses, encouraging words, prayers, pictures, etc. The decorated studs will be framed into the house, and everyone will be invited to a Stud Finder Event later on to see the studs and pray for the project. THE IRBC BASIC TRAINING COURSE in Reformed Biblical Counseling: Many of God’s people are suffering today from depression, anxiety, abuse, eating disorders, and more. Enrolling in the IRBC Training Course in Reformed Biblical Counseling will give you insights on how to effectively bring God’s Word to bear in the lives of suffering Christians. An information brochure and application can be obtained by typing “reformedbiblicalcounseling” in your internet word search. Registration deadline is August 24 (noon). Your prayers are needed! There is an ever-growing need to get Christians trained to counsel in the light of God’s Word at all levels, from basic training to certified biblical counselors. Please fervently pray that the Lord will raise up students to register for the IRBC Basic Training Course this fall.
