WELCOME TO FIRST HULL A warm welcome to all as we gather for worship, Christian education and fellowship. Please greet one another with the Lord’s peace. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the cold and flu season, it was decided to cease all hand shake greeting from now until March 15. Elders and Pastor will greet you after the service today, but not shake your hand. Greeters will be available prior to the service, but also will not shake your hand.
THIS MORNING we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. You are welcome to join us at the Lord’s table if you are truly sorry for your sins, sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as your Savior, and desire to live in obedience to Him. Gluten free bread will be available in the center section of each tray.
THIS EVENING Pastor Loren’s message is from selected verses of scripture and “Our World Belongs to God”, Art.18-22, titled “Redemption”.
CLASSIS HEARTLAND meets on Saturday, March 3, at Immanuel CRC in Sheldon. Delegates from our church are Pastor Kotman, Elder Dan De Wit, and Deacon John Emerick. Alternates are Elder Larry Wielenga and Deacon Dave Van’t Hul.
NEXT SUNDAY EVENING as part of a post-classical exchange, Rev. Robert Drenten from Immanuel CRC in Orange City will lead our evening service. Pastor Loren will be at Ocheyedan CRC.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS interested in making profession of faith are invited to a preconfession class beginning Sunday morning, April 8, during the Sunday school hour. Call or email Pastor Loren if you plan to attend email@example.com.
CARD SHOWER: Esther Rozeboom will be celebrating her 90th birthday on February 27th. Her family is requesting a card shower for her.

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
- LeRoy Jongetjes was released from Avera McKennan Hospital on Tuesday afternoon and is recovering at Pleasant Acres. Pray for God’s healing mercies.
- Give thanks that Bob Soodsma continues to recover from hip replacement surgery. Pray for a complete recovery.
- Skyler Bonestroo began physical therapy on Monday. Continue to remember him in your prayers.
- Pray for Shar Bonestroo’s mom, Betty den Hoed, who began chemo treatments for Stage III ovarian cancer. Pray for Betty and her family.
- Continue to remember Darlene Kroese as she recovers from surgery. Charles and Darlene are in room 28 at Pleasant Acres.
- Henry Kats is scheduled for surgery for colon cancer on Wednesday at the Sioux Center Hospital. Pray the surgery would go well and for a complete recovery.
- Congratulations to Rick and Koni Leusink on the birth of a son, Kip Dwayne, born on February 15 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
- Pray for our shut ins: Sally De Groot, Florence Kroese, and Melvin Van Otterloo at Pleasant Acres; Joyce De Vries, Verne Huisman, Julianne Kats, Anthony Smit, and Goldie Veldman at Aspen Heights; Esther Rozeboom in her son’s home, Wilma Altena at the Good Samaritan Society in George, and Ardelle Westra in Sioux City.
HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
- Betty Van Schepen was able to return home and continues her recovery. Please pray for continued peace and healing for Betty.
- We praise God with Justin and Mandy Hoekstra in the birth of their daughter, Kendyl Hayze, on February 15. Mother and baby are home and doing well.
- Jemma Jean De Jong, daughter of Sarah and Todd De Jong, and grand-daughter of Diana and Dave Kooima was able to return home this past week. We praise God and continue to pray for stability and strength for Jemma.
- We pray for many others who continue to recover from recent surgeries, illnesses, or treatments. We pray for peace, patience, and endurance.
- We remember our members who reside in care facilities: Marv Boon at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, and Evelyn Dykstra in Byron Center Manor in Byron Center, MI. We also pray for their families as they support them.
DORDT COLLEGE invites you to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Agriculture Department on Friday, March 2. There will be an open house in the lobby of the Science building beginning at 7p. Dr. Duane Bajema, who will be retiring this summer, will also be honored. Please join us for cake, ice cream, department updates, Science Building tours, etc.! DORDT COLLEGE invites the community to attend a guest recital by German pianist Andreas Klein at 7:30p, March 2 in the Auditorium. Klein will also present a piano masterclass on Sat., March 3, at 10:00a.
DORDT COLLEGE: On Tues., March 6, at 7:30p three of Dordt’s instrumental Ensembles will perform at the Auditorium. The concert will feature the Campus-Community Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band.
DORDT COLLEGE: Three Dordt Choral Ensembles will present a concert on Wed., March 7, at 7:30p in the Auditorium featuring Bella Voce, Kantorei, and Chorale.

CENTER FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION is hosting a Financial Peace University (FPU) class beginning on Sunday, March 4. The class will be held 9 consecutive Sundays (skipping Easter Sunday). Attendees are invited to come to the Bridge of Hope Ministry Center at 43 2nd Street NE in Sioux Center from 1:30-3:30p (use SW entrance).
