WELCOME TO FIRST HULL in the name of Christ Our Savior, our Brother, our Friend.   A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

PLEASE NOTE: On Sundays, for security reasons, the doors automatically lock at 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM. If you come after that time, come to the SE doors and someone will let you in.

THIS EVENING the sacrament of infant baptism will be administered to Judah John Kroese, infant son of Eric and Bobbie Kroese.

CLASSIS HEARTLAND will meet this week Wednesday at 12:30p at First CRC, Sheldon. Delegates from our church are Pastor Loren, Elder Merlyn Kroese, and Deacon Eric Kroese.

THE CRC COUNCIL OF DELEGATES has requested that we pray for our denomination. Classis has responded to that call by scheduling a prayer time at our Wed., March 2, classis meeting at 6:30p at First CRC in Sheldon. Syd Hielema will speak on the topic of “Praying in Fraught Times.” This invitation is being extended to members of the congregations in classis. We hope you join us.

JADE VAN MEETEREN, fiancé of Nate Boer, met with the elders on February 14 to profess her faith in Jesus Christ. Public profession of faith is scheduled for Sunday morning, March 20.

ADVANCE NOTICE: Combined Annual Day of prayer service at Hope CRC on Wed., March 9, at 7:00p. We will pray for Agriculture and Industry, our Schools and Community, our Homes, Families and Churches, and our Nation and World.

UPDATE FROM GUIDING STAR SIOUXLAND! We have officially moved into our new location in the basement of Centerpoint Church in Sioux Center. Currently, we are in need of volunteers to help us clean and organize our space as we move in, consistent weekly or monthly volunteers to provide support and child watch, and we are hiring a Client Service Coordinator (20 hrs/week). Give thanks to God that Vell Keizer received a good report on Tuesday. The surgeon removed all of the cancer and no cancer was found in her lymph nodes.

Pray for Kyle and Janae Vander Schaaf and their unborn child. The baby was scheduled to have another echo on Friday, February 25. Continue to keep this situation in your prayers.

Continue to pray for Jim Oostenink as he receives treatment for cancer in his kidneys.  Pray that the treatment would be effective. Pray for healing.

George Heynen has a doctor’s appointment on Friday, March 4, to see how his finger is healing. Pray for good results and for God’s continued healing.

Give thanks for ongoing progress for Carver and Maddox Kooima. Pray for continued growth and development. Call Travis or Megan before you stop by.

Pray for Russ Vander Schaaf as he continues with cancer treatment. Pray for strength, energy and healing.  

Continue to keep Rick Van Hill in prayer. Pray that the treatments are effective. Pray for healing.

Pray that those in our community who are sick will recover quickly and without lasting effects. We especially think of the effects of Covid and influenza and how widespread it is becoming yet again. May we make wise decisions to help slow the spread of germs.

We rejoice and praise God with Jacob and Josie Van Ginkel and their daughter, Everly as they welcome Roran Jeffery to their family, born on Friday, the 18th of February. Roran and Josie are doing well.

We remember Le Talsma as he struggles with back pain. We pray for a plan that brings relief and healing.

Please continue to keep Loren Van Otterloo in your prayers as he continues with radiation treatments.

We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope and feel included as part of our church family.

   HCS will be hosting a carry-out BBQ Pulled Pork Supper to replace our Hostess Supper fundraiser, Wed., March 16, from 5:00-6:30p.    Little Blessings Preschool – Meet & Greet, Learn & Explore: We would love for you to come and checkout what Little Blessings Preschool is all about. On Monday, Feb. 28, 5:00-7:30p, Ms. Tubergen will be at the Hull Public Library Meeting room to tell you more about Little Blessings Preschool. Bring your future preschooler along – there will be activities for them to do too! We can’t wait to meet you!

HABITAT SPONSOR A STUD! Gather your friends, family, church group, business, etc. to sponsor one or more 2x4 studs for $100 each to help build the Habitat House in Alton! We will deliver the stud(s) to you to decorate with Bible verses, encouraging words, prayers, pictures, etc. The decorated studs will be framed into the house and everyone will be invited to a Stud Finder Open House later on to see the studs and pray for the project.
