WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Family of God, welcome to worship this midsummer day! Please share a greeting of peace with your neighbor. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

THE “SHARE” GROUP for widows and widowers will meet on Thursday, July 18, at 6:00p at Homestead Commons in Hull. We will enjoy a potluck for supper, so please bring your favorite dish to pass. Please also consider bringing $5 to help cover expenses. Following our meal, we will hear a musical presentation from Ken Nielsen and family. Root beer floats will be provided for dessert. BIBLE LEAGUE CHRISTMAS in July will be held on Monday, July 29, at 1:30p at the Faith Reformed Church of Rock Valley. You are asked to bring an item such as baked goods, crafts, plants, etc., to place on the silent auction tables. You will be given time to view the items and place your bids. Sheri Ten Napel and Katie Haan will share what they experienced on their trip with Bible League International to Nicaragua. Hope to see many of you at this event.
VOLUNTEER NEEDED from our church for the City of Hull Church Representative. There are a couple of meetings a year at the city office (one is a business type meeting and the other is a few hours of doing a mass mailing for all of Hull). The meetings are in the afternoon. Both men and women are church representatives. Contact Larry Hoekstra or Karen if you are willing to help out.

THANK YOU: We thank you for your visits to our loved one, Gerald Kroese, at Pleasant Acres and the cards he received. Thank you for the cards and words of comfort after his passing. Thank you to Care Groups 1 and 8 for the beautiful flower arrangements and for the delicious meal following the visitation. We thank also the funeral group who served at the funeral. Many thanks to Pastor Loren for his many visits to Pleasant Acres and for his comforting message. What a comfort to know that Gerald is with his Lord and Savior!

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
We extend our Christian sympathy to Joyce Vander Well in the passing of her sister-in-law, Wilma Altena, and to all others who mourn Wilma’s passing. Wilma passed away very early Wednesday morning.
Jarvis De Wild continues with radiation and chemo treatments. Pray the treatments will be effective and that the side effects will be minimal. Pray for healing.
Wilmar Pollema is starting a new chemo treatment. Wilmar and Betty are grateful for your prayers.
Give thanks that Russ Vander Schaaf is gaining strength. Doctors are satisfied with his progress but waiting until July 24 to complete the process and remove some temporary tubes.
Give thanks that the recent CT scan for Gary Roetman was clear. Continue to pray that Gary will get stronger.
Bob and Sharon Soodsma were thankful to learn that Sharon’s cancer is stage 1. The plan is to do a Lumpectomy the week of the 22nd. Pray for healing.
Julianne Kats fell on Tuesday, July 2. She was hospitalized in Rock Valley with a compression fracture in her vertebrae. She was released to Pleasant Acres on Tuesday.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
We are thankful, along with Eileen Boon, that her husband, Marv, was able to return to the Orange City Hospital. He is in a swing bed and going through therapy. We praise God for all these improvements. Lord willing, he will be able to go back to Prairie Ridge in a few days. Visitors are welcome.
We keep Julie Horstman in our prayers as she continues her recovery from a broken leg. Please pray for her healing, encouragement, and patience.
Please be in prayer for Cal Van Der Zwaag’s dad, Gerrit Van Der Zwaag. Gerrit was moved from Sanford hospital to Avera hospital. He has a pool of blood that is putting pressure on his spine which may be affecting his ability to walk. He is currently in the spine and brain specialty unit. Please be in prayer for Gerrit and Cal and their family. Gerrit can have visitors at this time.
We pray for those dealing with illness or continuing their recovery from surgery. We also pray for those who may be struggling emotionally. May God provide healing and wholeness.
We remember those who reside at home but aren’t able to join us from week to week. We also pray for their families as they support them.
Western: On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 9, 10, 11, Western Christian High School will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary of providing a high quality secondary Christian education to covenant youth. Western Booster Club: Get your foursome together for the 27th annual Western Christian Booster Club golf tournament that will be held on Friday, August 9, at noon at the Ridge Golf Course in Sioux Center. REGISTRATION FORMS for the 2019-2020 Kids’ Club year will become available this week. Registration forms will be made available in the following ways: Boyden Hull registration packets, via email for Hull Christian students, on the Hull Chamber Website, or in the American Reformed Church office weekdays until noon. Kids’ Club is open to students who will be entering grades K-3 this Fall. KDCR presents Big Daddy Weave in concert on July 19! The concert will be held at the B.J. Haan Auditorium on Friday, July 19, at 7:00p. Doors will open at 6:00p for those with general admission tickets. Tickets can be purchased at ticketfly.com and will be on sale via cash purchase at the Dordt University Campus Store.
MASTER’S VOICE QUARTET will present a concert of gospel music at the First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids on Sunday, July 21, at 2:30p.
HOPE HAVEN will be holding a Classic Car & Truck Tour on Friday, July 26. Registration will be held at First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley at 6:30 AM. Entry fee is $80, which includes lunch. Bus will depart at 7:30 AM for Spomer Motors in Worthington, MN, and then travel to Okoboji Classic Cars in Okoboji, IA and Yesterday’s Memories and Truck Museum in Sanborn, IA. The bus will return to Rock Valley by 4:00 PM. The registration deadline is Thursday, July 18th.
