WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Here may you find rest for your souls, challenge and comfort alike, and inspiration to share Christ’s love as you go forth in faith. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

THIS MORNING we have the joy of witnessing the sacrament of baptism of Beau Adrian Scholten, infant son of Jon and Bethany.

THE FLOWERS in front of church this morning are in honor of Dennis & Jacki Vande Griend’s 50th wedding anniversary from their children.

THIS EVENING we welcome Dan Tracy as he leads our worship service. His message is from Luke 17:11-19 titled “Am I a Grateful Person”?

PASTOR LOREN & NORMA will be gone to a retreat center this week in northern Illinois. Pastor Loren will be back in the office on Tuesday, July 26. In case of a special need, you may call Pastor Tim Ouwinga at 507-215-7407 or your care group elder.

THE SHARE GROUP for widows and widowers will meet on Thursday, July 21, at 6:00p at St. Paul Lutheran Church. We will enjoy a spaghetti supper. Following our meal, a Gideon representative will share their story. Be sure to bring $5 to help cover expenses. Call Deanna Tiedeman (439-2229) with any questions.

REGISTRATION FORMS for the 2022-2023 Kids’ Club year are now available. Registration forms will be made available in the following ways: Boyden Hull registration packets, via email for Hull Christian students, on the Chamber Websites, the city website, or in the American Reformed Church office M-F until noon. Kids’ Club is open to students who will be entering grades K-3 this fall at no cost. COMMUNITY BULLETIN

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Ed Scholten has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and has been placed on hospice care. Pray that he will be comfortable.

Continue to pray for Taylyn Vander Schaaf in anticipation of her surgery. Pray for continued health and that she gains more weight. 

Harlyn Bolkema continues to recover from his knee replacement surgery. Pray that the physical therapy that he is receiving will be effective. Pray for healing.

Continue to remember Carver and Maddox Kooima as they grow and develop.

Pray for Russ Vander Schaaf as he continues with cancer treatments. Pray for strength, energy, healing and relief from pain.  

Pray for Rick Van Hill as he continues to receive treatments. Pray that the treatments will be effective. Pray for strength, energy, encouragement, and healing.

Pray for Donna Rens as she continues to recover from her recent surgery.

Pray for Howard and Marilyn Grevengoed as they adjust to their new home. Pray for strength for Howard and Marilyn.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Jan Bakker is undergoing oral chemotherapy treatment. We continue to pray that the treatments go well.

Loren Van Otterloo continues in his course of treatment. He has once again been blessed with minimal side effects. Prayers that the treatment is effective to create the opportunity to have surgery to remove the tumor.

Pray for Jackie Covey and her family. She was recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.

Cody Bauer has been prescribed new medications. We pray that they continue to work well to treat his seizures.

We pray for those who are recovering from surgeries. We give thanks for those who have received good news and healing. We mourn with and plead for those who are dealing with difficult news.

We pray for our marriages, that God would encourage us as Husbands and Wives to love each other as Christ has loved His church.

We pray for those who are going through struggles, heart break, betrayal, confusion, and battling addiction.

We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope and feel included as part of our church family.

Pray for those in our community who are sick, dealing with pain, or those who have ongoing prayer concerns that they will return to good health and recover quickly.
