FIRST CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH

July 18, 2021

WELCOME TO FIRST HULL:  Jesus urged his disciples, “Come away…and rest a while” (Mark 6:31). He calls us also to leave our busyness for a time of Sabbath. Welcome to worship and rest. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

THIS EVENING Pastor Loren begins a series of messages based on Hebrews 11 entitled, “Faith in Action”. The message this evening is “What is Faith?” based on Hebrews 10:19-11:3.

PLEASE NOTE: On Sundays, for security reasons, the doors automatically lock at 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM. If you come after that time, come to the SE doors and someone will let you in.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS are needed for the fall session which beings on September 19. Please contact Henry Kats at 712-578-9734 if you are willing to volunteer your time.

OFFERINGS: Beginning Sunday, August 1, the Deacons will begin passing the collection plates.

NEXT SUNDAY the second offering is for the Siouxland Unity CRC. Keo Phommarath continues to pastor the church, reaching out to the large Buddhist Lao community in Sioux City, as well as providing energetic leadership in worship and life for the small congregation of Lao Christians at Siouxland Unity. He also has 4 Bible studies during the week – 3 for adults and 1 for young people, along with helping needy people in the community. Keo’s compensation is partly covered through ministry shares but also relies on additional offering support from the churches. Your support is critical to the ministry.
