WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Dear family, welcome to this time of worship. Share a word of peace with someone now. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

THIS MORNING we welcome Pastor Tim Ouwinga as he leads our morning worship service. His message is from John 8:31-59 titled “The Freedom That Really Counts”.

THIS EVENING we welcome Sherwyn Bolkema from Orange City as he leads our worship service. His message is from Heb. 11:3, John 3:16, Rom. 8:38, Prov. 3:5&6, James 2:26 titled “Do I Really Believe?”

HULL KIDS’ CLUB has a display in the back of church. Sherry De Wit will be there to answer any questions you may have about the program. She will be in the back of church after morning worship. Feel free to stop, chat and pick up a donation request slip or volunteer and student registration form. Donations should be returned to the Kids’ Club table here at church no later than September 4th. Kids’ Club thanks you for your contributions and support for their program. It would not be a success without you!

KIDS’ CLUB is ready to kick off a new year and we need your help! We are looking for some food donations so we can feed the children a snack when they arrive at Kids’ Club. There are donation slips located in the back of church. If you are willing to help us, please take a donation slip and then return the purchased item(s) to the Kids’ Club basket in the back of church by Sunday, September 4th. Thank you so much for your support!

WE ARE SEEKING Youth Leaders for the upcoming school year. Come join a team who is passionate about our Youth Program. If you are interested, please contact one of the Youth Leaders: Scott Kroese, Waylon and Melissa Pollema, Amy and John Emerick and Sean and Stephanie Baccam.

IN HONOR OF Pastor Loren & Norma’s 40th wedding anniversary, cake will be served after the morning service on July 31st.

NEXT SUNDAY MORNING Dennis Schrick will give a brief presentation on the work of the Gideons. An offering will be taken for the Gideons on August 7.

We extend our Christian sympathy to all who mourn the passing of Ed Scholten. Ed passed away early Friday morning, July 15.

We extend our Christian sympathy to the family of Jo Dirksen who passed away on Monday, July 18. Jo was a former member of our church.

Joyce Vander Well is a patient at Avera in Sioux Falls. They are waiting for her blood to thicken. If all goes as planned, she will have a procedure to remove a gall stone from her duct on Friday, July 22nd. Pray for relief from pain.

Continue to pray for Taylyn Vander Schaaf in anticipation of her surgery scheduled for Friday, August 19. Pray that she stays healthy and gains more weight. 

Harlyn Bolkema continues to recover from his knee replacement surgery. Pray that the physical therapy that he is receiving will be effective. Pray for healing.

Continue to remember Carver and Maddox Kooima as they grow and develop.

Pray for Russ Vander Schaaf as he continues with cancer treatments. Pray for strength, energy, healing and relief from pain.  

Pray for Rick Van Hill as he continues to receive treatments. Pray that the treatments will be effective. Pray for strength, energy, encouragement, and healing.

Pray for Howard and Marilyn Grevengoed as they adjust to their new home. Pray for strength for Howard and Marilyn.

Loren Van Otterloo continues in his course of treatment. He has once again been blessed with minimal side effects. Prayers that the treatment is effective to create the opportunity to have surgery to remove the tumor.

Please be in prayer for Jackie Covey and her family as she has been dealing with headaches and nausea. We pray that the treatments she has received work, and that she is able to receiver her treatment on Monday.

We pray for those who are recovering from surgeries. We give thanks for those who have received good news and healing. We mourn with and plead for those who are dealing with difficult news.

We pray for our marriages, that God would encourage us as Husbands and Wives to love each other as Christ has loved His church.

We pray for those who are going through struggles, heart break, betrayal, confusion, and battling addiction.

We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope and feel included as part of our church family.

Pray for those in our community who are sick, dealing with pain, or those who have ongoing prayer concerns that they will return to good health and recover quickly.

NW IOWA BIBLE LEAGUE: Tomorrow, July 25, is Christmas in July for NW IA Bible League. All are invited, men and women, at Immanuel CRC, 1405 Albany NE, Orange City, July 25. A short program will begin at 1:30 followed by the silent auction. See you there!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY Stud Finder Family Fun Night – Join Siouxland Habitat for Humanity on Thursday, August 4 from 5:00-6:30p at 712 Park St. in Alton and enjoy a free-will donation meal, bouncy house, and special time of Prayer & Thanksgiving at 5:30p! You’ll be able to meet the Hernandez family, tour the home under construction and view the artistic talents of everyone that sponsored and decorated a stud. We hope to see you there!

HABITAT SPONSOR A STUD! – Gather your friends, family, church group or business to sponsor one or more 2x4 studs for $100 each to help build the first Habitat House in Hospers! We will deliver the stud to you, so you can decorate it with Bible verses, encouraging words, prayers, pictures, etc. The decorated studs will be framed into the house, and everyone will be invited to a Stud Finder Event later on to see the studs and pray for the project.
