Continue to remember Duck Lokhorst as she recovers from a fall. Pray for relief from the pain.

Give thanks that Carol Reekers is doing pretty well. A recent radiation treatment on the brain went well. A CT scan is scheduled for August 3. Pray for God’s healing.

Give thanks that Bonnie Vander Schaaf is recovering well from rotator cuff surgery. She began physical therapy on Thursday, July 22. Pray for healing.

Congratulations to Cory and Sherry De Wit on the birth of Chelsey Grace, born on Monday, July 19th.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Please be in prayer for Cal and Kathy Van Der Zwaag’s grandson, Aiden. He was born last weekend to Brooke and John Oldenkamp and has pneumonia. He’s on a CPAP and is expected to be in the NICU for 10 days getting antibiotics.

Pray for Leo, son of Greg and Jasmine Boer. He was admitted to the PICU in Denver this week due to continuous bloody vomiting. It was confirmed that his stomach and esophagus are inflamed and irritated causing the bloody throw up due to a formula he was put on just not sitting right with him. The good news is that his blood clot is officially gone so no more shots twice a day.  (updates on caring bridge)

We rejoice with Drew and Tricia Heynen in the birth of their son, Milo Lyndon, born July 15th.

We pray for our council, guest pastors, and the search for a new pastor.

We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope, and feel included as members of Hope.

We thank God for the rain this past week. Every good and perfect gift is from above!

GUIDING STAR: Cycle Shows are back! Upcoming dates are August 4 and Oct. 2 at New Hope Church in Orange City. The Cycle Show is an educational, interactive, multi-media, fertility awareness workshop for young girls, aged 9-13. It is a desirable additional to the standard sex education given in schools; its aim is to equip young girls with the knowledge of what is going on inside their bodies in relation to puberty. This knowledge then supports and prepares them in a positive way for the wonderful changes they will experience within their bodies over the coming years. It is more important than ever for young girls to have high self-esteem regarding their bodies, not just when they are in the middle of puberty, but before the onset. The beginning of sexual maturation is the ideal time for girls to learn about and appreciate all the amazing changes that are taking place within their bodies. Participation in the Cycle Show gives girls a healthy respect for their bodies and helps to protect them as they move into their teenage years. To register, www.guidingstarproject.com/cycle-show/.
