WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Welcome to worship, as we pray: Speak your word to us, Lord, as we are able to hear it. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

THIS MORNING we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. You are welcome to join us at the Lord’s table if you are truly sorry for your sins, sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as your Savior and desire to live in obedience to him. Gluten free bread is available in the center section of each tray.

WE WELCOME Rev. LeRoy Christoffels as he leads our worship service this evening.

COUNCIL MEETING: Newly elected office bearers are requested to attend the Council Meeting on Monday at 8:00p when the election of a President, Vice-President, Clerk and Vicar will take place. The organizational meeting will take about 15-20 minutes.

PUBLIC PROFESSION OF FAITH for Braden Baccam, Blaike Bonestroo, Lane Driesen, Madison Emerick, Aubri Fedders, Ashlyn Grevengoed, Riley Grevengoed, Maeva Haveman, Chandler Pollema, Konner Struik, Haley Wielenga, and Ashten Winterfeld is scheduled for next Sunday morning, June 19.

THE SHARE GROUP for widows and widowers will meet on Thursday, June 16, at 6:00p at St. Paul Lutheran Church. We will enjoy a meal of creamed chicken sandwiches and sides. COMMUNITY BULLETIN

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Congratulations to Drake and Kerrigan (Kats) Granstra who were united in marriage on Friday, June 10. May God bless them with many happy healthy years together.

Taylyn Vander Schaaf was scheduled to see a G.I. Doctor on Friday, June 10.  Pray for relief.

Maddox Kooima has eye surgery on Tuesday, June 14. Pray that the surgery goes well. Continue to remember Carver and Maddox as they grow and develop.

Give thanks that Grace De Jong has made significant improvement in recent days.  Pray for continued healing. Follow her progress on www.caringbridge.org/ visit/gracekorra.

Jim Oostenink is scheduled for his fourth of six treatments on Tuesday, June 14. Pray that the treatments will be effective.

Pray for Russ Vander Schaaf as he continues with cancer treatments. Pray for strength, energy, healing and relief from pain.  

Pray for Rick Van Hill as he continues to receive treatments. Pray that the treatments will be effective. Pray for strength, energy, encouragement, and healing.

Valve replacement surgery for George Heynen has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 28, in Omaha. Pray that surgery will go well.

Continue to remember Howard and Marilyn Grevengoed in your prayers.

Josh De Wild had surgery on his wrist on Thursday, June 9, in Mitchell, South Dakota. Pray for a good and speedy recovery.

Donna Rens is scheduled for an angiogram and further testing on Thursday, June 16. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and God’s healing.

Remember Pete Soodsma in his struggle with Parkinson’s and depression.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Please continue to be in prayer for Joan Horstman as she is back at home. We rejoice in the progress that she has made. God has been very gracious and she is making incredible progress in her recovery.

Please keep Bill Heynen in your prayers. He moved to a nursing home in Sibley.  Pray for him as he adjusts to a different living situation.

Prayers for Loren Van Otterloo as there have been signs of the cancer spreading. He continues to go through chemo and they hope to get more input from other doctors about how to proceed with treatment. Please continue to pray for Loren, Shelly, Allie, Lindsey, and Nate.

Please be in prayer for the family of Arnold Nielsen, Marty Nielsen’s father. Arnold passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 3. Visitation with the family will be Monday, June 13, at the American Reformed Church from 12:00-1:00p and the funeral will be at 1:30p. Please keep the family in your prayers for God’s comfort and peace as they prepare to celebrate Arnold’s life.

We continue to pray for Brennan Kooi as he recovers at home after heart surgery.

Janet Steiger is doing well after her surgeries and has moved to the nursing home in Lynden, WA to recover. The Steiger family is thankful for everyone’s prayers.

We pray for the Mission Team as they travel to Alaska. May they be a blessing to all those they come into contact with, and may they be blessed by the experience as well.

We pray for our marriages, that God would encourage us as Husbands and Wives to love each other as Christ has loved His church.

We pray for those who are going through struggles, heart break, betrayal, confusion, and battling addiction.

We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope and feel included as part of our church family.

Pray for those in our community who are sick, dealing with pain, or those who have ongoing prayer concerns that they will return to good health and recover quickly.

SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT

   Tailgate Supper Fundraiser: Western Christian will be hosting a tailgate supper at the Western Unity Baseball Softball games on Tuesday, June 14. Brats and burgers will be available from 5:30-8:00p (while they last). All proceeds will go to Miss Laurissa Boman who is a teacher at WCHS and was diagnosed with colon cancer at the end of the school year. She recently underwent surgery to remove the colon. Take the family out for a night of competition on the field, but more importantly, let’s come together as a Christian community and support and cheer on Miss Boman on this journey.

ROCK RAPIDS CRC will be celebrating their 100th Anniversary on Sat., June 25 and Sunday, June 26. Catered picnic on Sat. evening under the tent; a social hour at 4:00p and the meal served at 5:00p. At 6:30p a service will be held in the sanctuary which will include former pastors sharing memories, and a power point showing the old and new church. Dessert will follow in the tent. CORNERSTONE PRISON CHURCH Faith Fellowship Weekend will be July 29-31. Friday, July 29: Kick Off Worship Service from 6:00-7:45p; Sat. & Sunday: 8:00-4:00p each day. Theme is Renewal. Scripture texts come from Zechariah 4:6-10 & John 15:7, 10-12 & 15. Join us for worship, large group talks and small group discussions. The deadline for signing up is Thursday, July 7.
