WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Brothers and sisters in Christ, welcome to this sabbath time of prayer, praise and thanksgiving. May we bless God as he so richly blesses us. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

THIS MORNING we hear and celebrate the Professions of Faith of Jaiden Bonestroo, Dawson Feenstra, Mackelle Grevengoed, Marcus Te Krony, Colin Westra, Amanda Wiersma, and Mitchell Winterfeld.

SKYLER BONESTROO and the rest of Northwestern College’s 2019 Wrestling Team left on Monday for the Czech Republic. Pray for them and the people they meet. Pray that through their service and Christ like example, people will be encouraged and that the gospel will be made known. They will return on June 24.

INSTALLATION of new Elders and Deacons will take place on Sunday morning, July 7th.

SYNOD 2019 meets at Calvin College in Grand Rapids June 14-20. Classis Heartland delegates are Rev. Bob Drenten (Immanuel CRC-Orange City), Rev. Jesse Walhof (Living Water Community Church-Sheldon), Elder Duane Walhof (Calvin CRC-Le Mars), and Deacon Keith Boersma (Sibley CRC). Please pray for the Lord’s wisdom and leading, for the work of synod and for our delegates in particular.

ATTENTION MISSION GUILD LADIES: Our summer outing is going to a concert featuring the Browns in

Le Mars on Wednesday, June 26. Please meet on the upper church parking lot at 12:15 p.m. Sharp!

THE BANQUET is in need of silverware. If you have any extra that you would be willing to donate, you can place the silverware in the box marked “Banquet” in the narthex.

THE “SHARE” GROUP for widows/widowers will meet on Thurs., June 20, at 6:00p at Homestead Commons. We’ll enjoy taverns & coney dogs for supper. Following our meal, we’ll play table games together. THANK YOU: We would like to thank everyone for all the support you gave to us throughout Duane’s fight with his cancer and after his death. Special thanks to Pastors Kotman & Klompien for their visits and phone calls. Thank you to Care Group 8 for the lovely flowers and lunch and also to the kitchen workers who had to work in a strange kitchen and still did a great job. Dylan Bonestroo was admitted to Sanford in Fargo, ND on Monday evening. He had a blood transfusion and surgery and is doing well. Give thanks that surgery went well. The plan was to release him on Thursday noon.

Jarvis De Wild is scheduled to begin radiation and chemo on June 24.

Gerald Kroese continues on hospice care. Pray that he is comfortable.

Give thanks that recent tests for Wilmar Pollema yielded results that can be treated with medication. Continue to remember Wilmar in your prayers. Pray for strength and healing.

Russ Vander Schaaf had surgery on Thursday at Sanford. The surgeon reported that the surgery went very well. Pray for a good recovery.

Gary Roetman had lab tests on Tuesday and is scheduled for a CT scan on July 9 which will determine what, if anything, has to be done. Pray for continued strength, positive lab results and a clear CT scan on July 9.

We keep Julie Horstman in our prayers as she continues her recovery from a broken leg. Please pray for her healing, encouragement, and patience.

Trent Hulstein, son of Josh and Kaylee Hulstein, was hospitalized for pneumonia earlier this week. He responded well to treatment and was able to return home.  We pray for his continued healing and strength.

Gerrit Van Der Zwaag, father of Cal Van Der Zwaag, continues his recovery at Sanford Hospital. We pray for daily healing and progress. We remember the Van Der Zwaag family as they support their parents.

We pray for those dealing with illness or continuing their recovery from surgery. We also pray for those who may be struggling emotionally. May God provide healing and wholeness.

We remember Marv Boon at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City. We also remember those who reside at home but aren’t able to join us from week to week. We also pray for their families as they support them.


      HCS is accepting applications for a part-time paraprofessional. The position will require working with students and assisting a teacher in the classroom.       Western Christian High School FFA Chapter is hosting their 3rd annual Tractor Ride on Saturday, June 29. Registration begins in the north parking lot at Western at 7:30a with the riders leaving at 8:30a. The cost of the ride is $50 and $5 for additional riders. The route will be through Rock Valley to Inwood and back to Hull. Your registration includes a continental breakfast, a goody bag, snack and rib eye sandwich lunch. HOPE HAVEN’S 24th Annual Gospel Music Festival will be held at Central Park in Sioux Center on Friday & Saturday, June 21&22. There will be continuous music from 1:00-9:30p on Friday and from 11:00a-9:30p on Saturday. Currently 20 different groups from 5 states are scheduled to sing! The Gospel Music Festival is a benefit for Hope Haven and freewill offerings will be taken each day. A lunch stand will be open both days. In case of inclement weather, the Music Festival will be held at the Rec Center on the campus of Dordt College.

CORNERSTONE PRISON CHURCH Faith Fellowship Weekend: Friday, July 12, 6:00-7:45p & July 13&14, 7:15a-4:00p each day. The theme for the weekend is “A Closer Walk with Christ” based on Colossians 2:6-7. “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness.
