WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Welcome to worship, and a special greeting to those who follow in God’s footsteps by sharing fatherly love. Happy Father’s Day! A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

CONGRATULATIONS to Ron Techen who will celebrate his 80th birthday on Thursday, June 21.
CONGRATULATIONS to Jacoba Rens who will celebrate her 90th birthday on Thursday, June 21.
OUR OFFERING next Sunday is for Paradise Bound. The essence of Paradise Bound is to continue the early ministry of Jesus Christ. Accomplishing this through His primary example of ministering to physical needs first-thus earning love, respect, and the opportunity to present His word. Ultimately, we strive in everything we do to radiate the name, the essence and the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior to the lost and dying in Guatemala.
INSTALLATION of new Elders and Deacons will take place next Sunday morning, June 24th.
THE “SHARE” GROUP for widows and widowers will meet on Thursday, June 21, at 6:00p at Homestead Commons. Everyone is invited to bring a salad to share for supper. Dessert will be provided. Following our meal, we will hear a presentation from Sioux County Conservation Board Naturalist Sarah Davelaar on the wildlife and flowers of NW Iowa. MINUTES FROM COUNCIL 06-11-2018
1. The following officers were elected: President: Harry Meendering; Vice-President: Dave Kroese; Clerk: Larry
Hoekstra; Vicar; Dave Rozeboom; President of the Deacons: Eric Haveman; Treasurer; Noah De Yager.
2. Members who have current committee responsibilities and/or who would like to volunteer to serve on a
committee, are welcome to contact Karen (439-1626) by July with any changes desired.
3. Church Security: Committee has presented a motion to lock the doors when the service begins. Final details
will be communicated in the near future.
CARE GROUPS will be redone this month. If you are a leader/assistant and willing to continue, please let me know. If you are interested in being a leader/assistant, I would appreciate a call (439-1626). New lists need to be out by July 1 so I need to work now on getting the lists together! LIVING STONE PRISON CHURCH: Hull 1st is invited to worship with the men at the Livingstone Prison Church on Sunday, July 22. Living Stone Prison Church is located inside the walls of the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield, SD. The DOC requires all visitors to complete both an access and waiver form. FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
Belle Draayer had successful surgery on her neck this past Wednesday to reduce pain she has been having in her head due to arthritis. Pray for a complete recovery.
Congratulations to Brad & Lisa Kats on the birth of a daughter, Emily Grace, on Monday, June 11.
Lisa Wiersma is grateful for your prayers as she continues with chemo treatment. Give thanks that the side effects to the treatment have been minimal.
Continue to pray for Florence Kroese as she recovers from a fall.
Heath & Kayla Stoker would like to thank the entire church family for their continued support through their cancer journey. Heath’s treatments have been going very well. Kayla has set up a Caringbridge website for more information and updates. Please consider joining Heath & Kayla’s family and friends for a Community Impact Night at the Sioux Center Pizza Ranch on Monday, June 18th from 5:00-8:00p.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
We praise God with the Kooi and Stiemsma families as they celebrate weddings. Taylor and Erin (Van Tol) Kooi were married June 8. Justin and Josie (Stiemsma) Faber were married this past Friday, June 15. We wish them the Lord’s blessings as they begin their lives together.
Jemma Jean De Jong continues to make steady progress after her most recent heart surgery. The hope is that she will be able to return home in a few days. Please continue to remember Jemma and family in your prayers.
Paul Vis is home and recovering after having surgery to repair a bowel torsion. He is doing well and continues to make steady progress. We give thanks for a good outcome and pray for continued healing.
Wilma Heynen received her test results and will begin chemotherapy with an oral medication next week. In two months, she will submit to more tests to determine the effectiveness of the treatment. Please pray for effective treatment, healing, and peace.
Joanne Buyert continues to make slow but steady recovery at Pleasant Acres. We pray for her continued strength so that she will be able to return to her apartment soon.
Cruise De Groot is currently at Ft. Hood in Texas. He will fly out to the Middle East soon. From there, he will wait for his assignment. Please pray for his safety and encouragement.
We remember our members who reside in care facilities: Marv Boon at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, and Evelyn Dykstra in Byron Center Manor in Byron Center, MI. We also pray for their families as they support them.
Meat donation for HCS Rally Day Sale: For many years, we have been blessed with donations of beef and pork for our Rally Day Sale. If you would like to make a donation of meat to this year’s sale or give a donation towards purchasing meat and the processing costs, please contact Janelle De Wit (470-4121) or Jeremy Hulstein (439-2914).
The 2nd Annual Western Christian FFA Tractor ride will be held Saturday, July 7. Registration begins in the north parking lot at Western Christian at 8:00a. Riders will be leaving at 8:30a. Western is celebrating its 100th anniversary in August 2019. A book is being put together to commemorate this anniversary. As part of the book we would like to include memories from former and current students as well as former and current faculty. KINGDOM BOUNDARIES SUMMER CELEBRATION CONCERT will be held on Saturday, June 23, from 4:00-8:00p at the New Day Church (27365 472nd Ave.) near Harrisburg, SD. Enjoy good Christian music, a ministry update, resident testimonials, and grilled burgers and more. Join us in celebrating what God has done in the lives of those who have been previously incarcerated. Please feel free to bring your lawn chair.
LOVE INC is prayerfully considering starting a Grief Share class as part of our Fall 2018 Love & Learn classes. We are having an informational meeting on Thursday, June 28, at 7:00p at Trinity CRC in Rock Valley. We are seeking people to use their life experiences to serve as facilitators. TEENS NEEDED!! Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, Dodge – return to your recess days. Sign you and your friends up for the 1st Annual Hull Summerfest Dodgeball Tournament!! Tournament will be held at the Hull Westside Park on Wed., July 11, at 7:00p. Players must be 13-19 years old. Six player teams with a 3 girl minimum. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and also for best team costume! There is a $25 registration fee that is completely refunded at check-in on the night of the tournament. Stick around after the tournament for Pizza Ranch pizza and late night swimming at the Hull Pool!!
