THIS MORNING we will install our newly elected elders (Dave Kroese, Harry Meendering, Larry Wielenga) and deacons (Darren Bonestroo, Eric Haveman, Terry Jansma). We thank the elders (Glen Scholten, Dave Te Slaa, Dave Vande Griend) and deacons (Dean Bonestroo, Eric Kroese, Eric Zomermaand) who will be ending their term on June 30. We also give thanks for those who willingly had their names placed up for nomination.

THIS EVENING Pastor Loren’s message is taken from Colossians 1:15-23 titled “Jesus: God and Man”.

THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE of council will be meeting in July to assign committee chairmen and members of the various church committees. If you no longer wish to be on a committee or if you would like to be on a committee, please contact Harry Meendering or Rob Westra by June 28th.

CARE GROUPS: There will be some updating of care groups due to the new elders & deacons. If you are willing to continue on as a Care Group Leader/Assistant or if you are willing to help out with this, please call the church office as soon as possible (439-1626). Thank you!

IF YOU WOULD LIKE to send a note of encouragement to Sam Scholten, stationed in Fort Bragg North Carolina, his parents will be traveling there, God willing, the first week of July. Glen and Tami will be happy to deliver any correspondence that you put into their mailbox.

THE THREE RIVERS CADET COUNCIL is planning a benefit golf tournament for Saturday, June 25, at 9:00a. $160.00 per foursome or $40.00 a person and we’ll put you on a team. Call Kent Zevenbergen at 439-1602 or email him at ktzeven@mtcnet.net to register.

Each teacher usually signs up to teach 4-6 evenings during a 6 month period. Please prayerfully consider sharing your gifts to help educate and worship with our covenant children. Thank you.

MINUTES FROM COUNCIL MEETING 6-13-16:

At the June 13 council meeting the following officers were elected: President: Harry Meendering; Vice-

President: Dave Kroese; Clerk: Rob Westra; Vicar: Gerald Jansen; President of the Deacons: Eric Rens; Treasurer: Kyle Bolkema.

The Revised Marriage Policy and Church Facilities Use Policy were presented and passed.

MEMBERSHIP TRANSFER: The communicant membership of Matt Vanden Bosch has been transferred, at his request, to the Heritage Protestant Reformed Church in Sioux Falls, SD. We wish him God’s blessing in his new church home.

NOTICE: Our church is responsible for the service at the Union Gospel Mission on Wed., June 29th. We are especially looking for anyone that would be willing to share of their talents by singing or doing an instrumental number. It is very special for people at the mission.

THE VAN EES have decided to retire from their missionary service. This will free up funds that were previously allocated to them. It was suggested we use these funds to serve a more local missionary need or possibly a missionary that is closer affiliated to church family members. If you have suggestions where these funds could go, please contact one of the Evangelism Committee members and we will further consider them.
