WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Welcome to worship, whether in person or online! May zeal for God’s house consume us, as it did Jesus (John 2:17), but remember that the Holy Spirit lives in every human heart. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.

PLEASE NOTE: On Sundays, for security reasons, the doors automatically lock at 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM. If you come after that time, come to the SE doors and someone will let you in.

THIS MORNING we have the joy of hearing the public profession of faith of Jade Van Meeteren and welcoming her to our church. She is the fiancé of Nate Boer and comes to us from St. Patrick’s Church in Sheldon.

THIS MORNING we also welcome Garrett Franken, husband of Jessi (De Jager) Franken to our church. Garrett comes to us from Bethel CRC in Sioux Center.

THIS EVENING Pastor Kotman’s message is from Leviticus 23:1-5 & Exodus 12:1-30 titled “The Passover”.

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: anyone interested in making profession of faith let Pastor Loren know by April 6. The class will begin April 10 during the Sunday school hour.

PASTOR LOREN AND NORMA will be attending the Ligonier conference this week in Orlando. They will be gone from Tuesday, March 22, through Tuesday, March 29. In case of a special need, call your care group elder. Pastor Tim will be gone until March 31.

12TH GRADE SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet next Sunday, March 27.

LADIES/MEN who are able to help at JFA on Tuesday, March 22, meet in the upper parking lot at 12:45 to car pool.

THE ANNUAL CHRISTIAN ED DAY OF CELEBRATION is scheduled for Wed., March 30 in the HCS Gym. Pre-meat sales begin at 4:00, supper served at the concession stand starting at 5:00, and the auction begins at 6:30p. A list of donated items is in your church mailbox.

GUIDING STAR SIOUXLAND is excited to announce our new class! The Wonder of Myself! This mother-daughter workshop is an invitation to begin the conversation about puberty, cycles, hormones, and relationships. Girls aged 12-16 are invited to attend with their mother or female guardian/mentor. This one-of-a-kind class promotes respect and appreciation for fertility with an emphasis on chastity. COMMUNITY BULLETIN

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Congratulations to Zach and Ashley Vant Hul on the birth of a son, Kaden Orville, who was born on Friday, March 11.

We extend our Christian sympathy to MaryLou & Larry Wielenga and family in the passing of MaryLou’s mother, Berdena Bylsma, who passed away on Friday night, March 11. The funeral service was held on Saturday, March 18. May God comfort them in their sorrow.

Continue to remember Kyle and Janae Vander Schaaf and their unborn child. Pray for a healthy planned delivery on Tuesday. Pray the baby does well during the delivery and has good test results to follow.

Give thanks for ongoing progress for Carver and Maddox Kooima. Pray for continued growth and development. Call Travis or Megan before you stop by.

Pray for Russ Vander Schaaf as he continues with cancer treatment. Pray for strength, energy and healing.  

Continue to keep Rick Van Hill in your prayers as he continues with cancer treatment. He is scheduled for another treatment tomorrow, March 21.

Amanda Wiersma’s eye surgery went well on Tuesday. Pray for relief from pain and that the surgery was successful

Give thanks that surgery went well for Dan Soodsma on Monday. Pray for relief from pain. The Soodsma family is grateful for all of your prayers.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Pray that those in our community who are sick, dealing with pain, or those who have ongoing prayer concerns that they will return to good health and recover quickly.

Please pray for McKenzie Roorda (Kaylee Hulstein’s sister in WA) as she had back surgery this week Tuesday. Prayers of thanks that she was able to have the surgery and prayers that the recovery will go well.

Please pray for Jan Van Soelen that she will be able to find relief for the pain she is experiencing.

Please continue to keep Loren Van Otterloo in your prayers as he continues with radiation treatments.

We remember Le Talsma as he is scheduled this week for an appointment with a pain specialist to help with his back pain.

We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope and feel included as part of our church family.

   8th Grade Day at Western: Calling all 8th Grade Students and Parents! On Thursday, April 7, we welcome 8th grade students and parents to WCHS for supper and registration. We will serve food between 5:15-6:15p and the main program will start in the Event Center at 6:15. We will dismiss around 8:30p. We ask that parents and students attend 8th Grade Day together.
