WELCOME TO FIRST HULL Welcome to this sacred time of praising and praying together; of singing, speaking and listening together; of being strengthened together in faith, for service. Amen. A nursery and quiet room are available in the basement. TV’s are available so that the service can be viewed. We invite everyone to join us for fellowship & coffee after the morning service in the church basement.
WE WELCOME Rev. Klompien who will be bringing God’s word to us today. Pastor Loren has been assigned by classis to be at Ireton CRC.
REMINDER: The back 8 benches on both sides of the sanctuary are reserved for families with babies to pre-school age children. We have a lot of young children and it is important that we keep these benches available for them.
THE BEGINNERS through Kindergarten will be giving a short program for parents, grandparents, and friends in the sanctuary at approximately 10:45a. Children may leave with their parents after the program.
SUNDAY SCHOOL/CATECHISM classes will meet today for the final meeting of the season. Thank you to all who gave their time willingly each Sunday morning to teach our children and young people God’s word.
NOTICE: Ascension Day service will be held on Thursday, May 5, at 7:00p.
COLLEGE/CAREER singles Bible study will be meeting next week, May 8, at 7:15p in the Youth Building. This will be our last meeting for the season.
THE CHAMBER SINGERS will be in our church next Sunday evening, May 8.
PARENTS: If you have a son/daughter graduating from college/trade school this year, please call the church office (439-1626) so that I can get a questionnaire to them. Our graduates will be honored during the morning service on Sunday, May 22nd.
BAPTISM: Next Sunday Aspen Grace Pfingsten, daughter of John & Lindsey, will receive the sacrament of baptism.

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
We extend our Christian sympathy to Gaylene & Loren Bouma and to Stephanie & Sean Baccam and family in the passing of Gaylene’s mother, Kathrine Visser, of Sioux Center on Friday, April 22, to Daryl and Marvella Van Wyhe in the passing of Daryl’s brother-in-law, Jasper Timmer of Sioux Center and to Kathy and Dan De Wit and Cory and Sherry De Wit in the passing of Kathy’s father, Cor Plugers of St. Catherine’s, Ontario on April 24. May God comfort these families in their sorrow.
A recent bone marrow test revealed that Bette Marra’s cancer is progressing. Bette began chemo this past week. Bette was admitted to the Sioux Center Hospital on Monday with infection in her colon. Pray for God’s healing mercies.
LeRoy Jongetjes is expecting to be released from Pleasant Acres on Wednesday and return to his own home. Give thanks for healing.
Give thanks that George Heynen is recovering well from his recent surgery. Pray for continued healing.
Continue to remember Joyce Kroese in your prayers. Pray for continued strength and better health.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:
David Trumble, 88, of Onida, SD, and grandfather of Karinda de Boom, passed away April 20 after an extended illness. His funeral was held this past Tuesday. We keep Karinda, Scott and family in our prayers.
We pray for Lucy Miedema, mother of Vicki Lammers, as he recovers from surgery.
We pray for Deanne De Jong who is recovering from hip replacement surgery.
We also continue to remember our members who reside in care facilities: Hermina Hulstein and Mary

Western Christian FFA Chapter would like to invite you to our first annual FFA Banquet. It will be held on Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30p in the Western Gym. COMMENCEMENT ceremonies for the Dordt College 2015-2016 academic year will be held at 10:00a on Friday, May 6, in the Auditorium. Dordt College Professor of Education Timothy Van Soelen will give this year’s address, titled “Itchy Ears”. For those without tickets, overflow rooms will be available on campus. The ceremony will also be streamed live online at www.dordt.edu/events/commencement.
BIBLE LEAGUE SPRING SALAD LUNCHEON will be held on May 2 at 11:30p at Bethel CRC in Sioux Center. Please bring a salad for every two ladies and enjoy the luncheon and fellowship with women from many area churches. The program will include a presentation about the Bible League visit to Uganda and Tanzania.

WELLNESS ON WHEELS: Promise Community Health Center of Sioux Center will host its 6th annual Wellness on Wheels Bicycle Ride on Sat., June 4. Four rides will be offered: a 60-mile paved route, 30-mile paved route, a 30-mile gravel route and a 6-mile Fun Ride. The event will raise funds for Promise, a nonprofit health center with a mission of reaching underserved people in Northwest Iowa.
