COMMUNITY BULLETIN

FIRST CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

We extend our Christian sympathy to Betty and Wilmar Pollema and family and Lois Salazar and family in the passing of Betty’s brother and Lois’s brother-in-law, Eldon Van Den Top of Rock Valley who passed away on Tuesday afternoon. May God comfort them in their sorrow.

Scans for Carol Reekers on May 6 revealed a small spot on her brain and a very small spot on each of her adrenal glands. She started immunotherapy on Monday. The doctor is hoping this will be all the treatment she will need for these new spots. Continue to pray for healing.

Lindsey Pfingsten is grateful for all the prayers, encouragement and support. Her physical therapy is scheduled until the end of May. Pray for complete recovery.

Pray for Pete Soodsma in his struggles with Parkinson’s and depression.

Sandy Starkenburg learned from the specialist on Monday that she has a second break in her arm closer to her shoulder. Pray that bone does not move so that surgery will not be necessary. She has another appointment with the specialist in two weeks. Pray for relief from the pain.

Pray for our shut ins: Aspen Heights: Joyce De Vries, Wilma Grevengoed, Ella Mae Vande Burgt, and Goldie Veldman; Sheldon Care Center: Julianne Kats, Belle Draayer; Christian Retirement Home: Lou Krommendyk, Johanna Van Surksum; Royale Meadows in Sioux Center: Ed Scholten. Darlene Kroese, Jo Westra; Sioux City: Ardelle Westra.

HOPE CRC FAMILY PRAISE AND PRAYER CONCERNS:

Please remember Sarah Fykstra and her family as she goes through radiation treatments. We pray for healing and restoration of her health.

Pray for Leo, son of Greg and Jasmine Boer. He is in the care of a surgeon in Denver. He had surgery to close the fistula (passageway from esophagus to trachea) so that his lungs don’t have to constantly fight fluid and pneumonia. (updates on caring bridge) Pray for Leo to heal and grow in preparation for his esophagus repairing surgery which will probably be in June. Pray for this family as they travel back and forth from Iowa to Denver to spend time with each of their kids.

Pray for those who recently had surgery.  Remember them as they recover.

We pray for our council, guest pastors, and the search for a new pastor.

We pray for those who worship from their homes. May they be filled with hope.
