CANNED FOOD DRIVE for the Sioux Falls Gospel Mission will be held on Thanksgiving morning. Children may leave their canned goods in the narthex under the coat racks.
NEXT WEEK SUNDAY is the first Sunday of Advent. This year, there are children’s messages every Sunday leading up to Christmas like in year’s past, however, only certain classes will go up front for the children’s message each Sunday. November 29 will be for 3&4-year olds (Beginners & Pre-K); Dec. 6: Kindergarten; Dec. 13: 1st & 2nd grade; Dec. 20: 3rd grade and Christmas Day: 4th grade.
SHARE GROUP: Due to continued concerns with COVID-19 cases in Sioux County, the SHARE group for widows and widowers will not meet in Nov. or December. Pastor Aaron and Deanna will reevaluate the situation in January and hope our gatherings can begin at that time. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.
KIDS’ CLUB wants to thank those potential volunteers who came forward to say they would partner with us in January. Unfortunately, we were unable to gain an adequate number of volunteers to begin the program while still maintaining the safety of our students. For this reason, Kids’ Club will not meet this school year. Our sincere hope and prayer is to begin again in the Fall of 2021.
THANK YOU for all the phone calls and cards while I was in the hospital. Special thanks to Pastor Kotman and Elder Merlyn and Linda Kroese for their visits. -Jo Westra
WE ARE GRATEFUL to all of you who have supported us and our family with your prayers, cards, phone calls, and acts of kindness as we dealt with the Covid 19 virus. Thank you to our pastor for his phone calls and words of encouragement. We thank and praise God for His care and love given to us. Please continue to pray for those who are dealing with the virus: those in our church and in our community. -Jim & Donna Rens and family
THANK YOU to Pastor Kotman and Elder Larry Wielenga and all of our church family for your prayers, calls, cards, and food. We have been blessed by each one of you. We thank God for His healing and returning health. -Harry & Dee Meendering
THANK YOU to my care group for the beautiful flowers. I really appreciate it! -Lou Krommendyk
THANK YOU to those who put together an Operation Christmas Child box. Our church delivered 43 boxes.
THANK YOU for partnering in ministry in Cambodia! This year has brought more challenges than likely any of us imagined—and that makes ministry partnerships even more important. While I can’t visit you this year to thank you in person, please remember: we do this work together! First CRC’s support for this ministry has a direct impact by encouraging and equipping young leaders for the church in Cambodia. Thank you! -Justin Van Zee
